There is a state of mind of absolute calmness, where the mind remains absolutely still, quiet and calm like the full moon. It spreads its light everywhere, the cool light of the moon. That is the state which is potentially in all of us even though it may not be active. To contact that and to pay respects to that inner being is the most important part of Guru Purnima.

Next Tuesday, July 28, is Guru Purnima, the annual celebration of teachers in the Vedic world. Our practice of meditation is part of the stream of wisdom that has been passed down through the tradition for literally tens of thousands of years. On this day we honor the women and men who used their lives to keep this wisdom available for us.
Guru Purnima is really a celebration of consciousness Itself, and of our truest guide, the guru we each carry within.
There will be a conversation about boons and opening to the abundance life wishes to share with us. Have a flower to hold as group puja is sung, enjoy a group meditation and then venture out into the full moon night to soak in the energizing soma that consciousness offers itself once each year in this celebration of Itself.
Please join us in celebration, in person or online. Jeff Kober, the Shakti Sisters and and Friends this Tuesday July 28 beginning at 730 p.m. PT/1030 pm ET.
