When you know beyond all doubting that the same life flows through all that is and you are that life, you will love all naturally and spontaneously. When you realize the depth and fullness of your love of yourself, you know that every living being and the entire universe are included in your affection. But when you look at anything as separate from you, you cannot love it for you are afraid of it. Alienation causes fear and fear deepens alienation. It is a vicious circle. Only self-realization can break it. Go for it resolutely.
Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, I Am That
All love is Self love, all hate is Self hate. There are no two things.
There are those who say the unified field and consciousness
are the same thing,
that everything in the universe, ourselves included,
is an expression of this unified field.
Like waves on the ocean,
we are simply waves on this
oneness of the unified field.
The universe as we know it is infinite.
Therefore the unified field must be infinite.
Any point in an infinite field is, by definition,
the center of the field.
I am that center. You are that center.
By this definition, we occupy the same space.
And by definition, no two things
may occupy the same space.
There are no two things.
There is only Self.
The Self in me is the Self in you.
There is no difference.
There is only ‘I Am.’
All love is Self love, all hate is Self hate.
There is nothing to get, there is nothing to do.
There is only to Be.
In meditation, we experience
that place of Being.
Outside of meditation
we may assume
that place of Being is present as well.
the thoughts and the feelings,
the opinions and the ideas,
even if we can’t feel it
in a given moment.
We are that Be-ing now.
It waits only to be recognized.
Today I will ask myself: if I could be free of every idea of who I am, every idea of who I have ever been, what would I be? If I am not the sum of my history, what am I?
