No one wants violence. If there is violence somewhere, know that religion has been corrupted…
…Look at what has been said in the Vedas – Sarve bhavantu sukhinah – let there be peace in the whole world, no one should be made to suffer. In Jain Dharma, it has been said, Ahimsa Paramo Dharma – non-violence is the greatest religion. In Hinduism, we say after every Satsang, Om Shanti Shanti Shanti – a prayer of peace.
When two Muslims meet, how do they greet each other? As salam aelekum – may the peace of Allah be upon you…. When a Jew meets a Jew, they say Shalom – it means the same thing: peace.
They forget that we are all One, that we are all human beings.
This is my only message.
On retreat, Sri M teaches various sadhanas, techniques for accomplishing spiritual change and growth. He says that no one can teach you the Truth, but only ways to prepare yourself to discover the Truth.
Where do we discover this Truth? Within ourselves. And what is this Truth? That there is only one thing. That I am this one thing. That God is, and God, too, is this one thing. And that the point of life is to know this one thing within and without. To live as if every moment, every person, every thing, including oneself is of the divine.
We are blessed to offer an evening with Sri M next Tuesday, August 14th at 7:00 pm at the Victory Theatre in Burbank. There will be a nominal fee of $20, which will be split between the theatre and Sri M’s charitable organization, the Blossom Foundation.
Link through here to make a donation and to RSVP. (There may be tickets available at the door.)
Sign up now. There is limited seating, and this will be Sri M’s only appearance in the Los Angeles area this year.
