Here’s the Pathway – April 15 2020

An invitation that Dr. Hawkins keeps continually putting out is: Here’s the pathway… You love life and all creation… including and especially your own. And there is no situation that enough love will not solve.’ And he keeps saying, ‘…and be kind, and be compassionate, and turn every thing over to God.’ It’s like, when I’m here, I turn that over to God. And when I’m here, I turn that over to God… And pretty soon that becomes a practice. It becomes a practice [that] before I get distressed, before I get discombobulated, before I get insane – before I go insane, I stop for just a moment and say, ‘and this too.’

It’s a simple practice. But then our ego wants to know, yeah and then what happens? Well, that’s the point… you have to wait and see what happens. But I’ll tell you, whatever happens will be different than what you had in mind that keeps you stressed and over-worked and over-tired and in those lower forms. And whatever shows up will be better than that…

So… keep coming back to the material. …And whether you know it or not, just hearing it is having a transformative effect. Some day, in the not-too-distant future, you’ll be walking down the street, you’ll be taking a shower, you’ll be going to the beach… some day, somewhere, in some place, you’re going to have a moment where you recognize: I see the world totally different.

The Highest Level of Enlightenment

We look for answers to our unhappiness or lack of fulfillment in so many places. Career, relationships, the acquisition of money, property, prestige, knowledge, approval, adoration, acceptance by this or that group. We embrace a new teaching, a new teacher, a new way of looking at the world. We find the right answer, the right lover, the right car, the right amount or type of whatever and it works for a moment or a week or a year. But eventually, we always come back to: now what?

The ‘now what’ that Dr. Hawkins suggests is a one-size-fits-all answer to this question. Powerful, workable and available to us always. Anytime, anywhere, in any and all situations. You love life and all creation, including and especially your own. And there is no situation that enough love will not solve.

Not always easy, but always available. And what we will find if we can take this on as a possibility for ourselves, is that even at those times when we find it absolutely impossible to love, even to think of it as an impossibility is a sign of growth, a sign of our openness and willingness to change and a promise of a future in which it will become our habitual way of being.

For this is the power of consciousness, and love is the currency of consciousness, and all love flows from the Self. From me. I am the source. I hold the power to change my life absolutely, and it’s happening now.

Today I will start my day with the idea of loving life and all creation, including and especially my own; and I will ask for help from something greater than my small self for help in remembering this as my path. And at the end of the day I will notice and recognize myself for each experience in which I was able at least to think of being loving, even if the only time I thought of it was at the start of my day.
