Some Thoughts on Love – March 7 2020

All you need is love

All you need is love

All you need is love, love

Love is all you need

from All You Need is Love,

Lennon and McCartney

There is no situation that is immune to the power of love.

Any situation is upgraded by the addition of love.

Love is an action that flows outward, always. I can’t feel your love for me, but I can feel myself loving you.

If love is needed in a situation, then I’m the one who must supply it. Remember, at the level of spirit, there is only one thing. I must be that one thing. Love is of the spirit, not of the ego/animal nature. At the level of spirit, there is no other; hence, I cannot depend on other to supply love. It must come from me.

To love, especially at those times when we seem least capable of it, is to build a muscle that will serve us for the rest of our life.

Love may not look the way I think love is supposed to look. I can love, even from the other side of the room, even if you don’t know I’m doing it. Even if you’ve decided we’re not speaking anymore.

I do not need your permission to love you.

Today, if I feel hurt, challenged, angry, disappointed or lonely, I will take a moment, close my eyes, put my attention into my heart and envision a ball of glowing energy there–pure white light, alive and swirling–and I will send it across the room or across the world or across the universe to someone else, expecting nothing in return.
