Success – May 1 2019

Success isn’t a result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire.

Formula for success: rise early, work hard, strike oil.

The true meaning of the word “success” is the movement from one state to another. One state of being, one state of consciousness succeeds another. Follows after.

In the Vedic world view, as in so many other world philosophies, it is accepted that change is the only constant. The Vedic world view differs, however, in stating that this change is by definition progressive change. Evolution. The movement, progressively, from one state to another, always is in the direction of greater wholeness and a more perfect and more full expression of life. This is what nature always is doing. This is the only thing nature knows to do.

Knowing this, why would we avoid surrendering to this thing that is greater than our small self? Why would we choose to try to think our way through life, rather than simply to let go into the flow of evolution?

For us to align ourselves with nature’s intelligence, and its flow of evolution, is for us to succeed.

Rise early, work hard, strike oil.

Today I will step out of speculation and into present moment awareness. I will stop trying to ‘figure out’ my next move. Rather, I will pause for a moment in silence and the unknown and allow myself to feel the subtle tug of charm deep within, knowing that this is how nature moves me in the direction of evolution. And from this feeling deep within, I will take a step that feels right, even though it may make no sense whatsoever to my intellect. I will embrace the flow of evolution, knowing that my evolution is also the evolution of the whole–the evolution of nature itself.
