The Aim of All Forms of Meditation – October 18 2018

When the mind becomes quiet and silent, the aim of all forms of meditation – one comes face-to-face with one’s consciousness. This is a part of all human beings irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region.

The world today seems to be more at odds with itself with each passing day. Sister turns against sister for differing politics. Race is pitted against race by the power of economics and the economics of power. Fundamentalists of all stripes turn their people against each other for worshipping some other form of the one Supreme Being.

It is not possible to fix all the problems of this world. There are too many, and each seeming compromise leaves one more splinter aside to grow into yet another sect causing it’s people and others even more problems.

But there is a place in all of us, every one, that is beyond the insistence of the mind to discriminate and to judge. The place of consciousness. This place in you is the same as this place in me.

Is the same as this place in
every
single
one
of
God’s
daughters
and
sons
across this planet.

It is imperative that those of us who know how to find this place go there as much as possible, and see the world as much from there as possible, and act from there as much as possible.

And for those who have not yet found their own way to this place, it’s almost ridiculously simple. One needs only a small mental tool kit, easily grasped, and a point in the right direction.

Intro talks are being arranged even now. Group meditations are filling up. Join the party. Join the movement toward peace. Join the world. Because, perhaps now more than ever, it needs you. Every single one.

Today I will find time to meditate twice, morning and evening, and to bring that precious energy from meditation to all the moments of my day. And if I can’t stand the thought of closing my eyes and being within for even five minutes, I will seek out an introductory talk to at least hear how easy it could be, even for someone like me.
